    Job Title:** **Grinder Operator

    **Location:** Rock Island, IL

    **Pay:** $20–$25/hr

    **Shift:** 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

     

    Job Overview

     

    Join our **Line 1 Operating Team** as a **Grinder Operator** , where you’ll play a key role in our production process. This position involves operating and monitoring machinery, handling blades through multiple stages—heating, pressing, cooling, painting, and quality inspection—to ensure high-quality output. You’ll work in a dynamic, rotating team environment that values efficiency, precision, and collaboration.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and monitor production machinery on Line 1, rotating through stations during an 8-hour shift.

    + Place blades on conveyor lines, manage heating processes, and use hand tools to move blades through pressing and quenching stages.

    + Hang blades for painting and perform quality inspections post-painting.

    + Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth production flow and meet quality standards.

    + Identify and address product defects using critical thinking and attention to detail.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in general labor and production environments.

    + Proficiency in machine operation, assembly line processes, and measuring tools.

    + Strong teamwork, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

    Additional Requirements

    + Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts and rotate among stations.

    + Capable of lifting 40–50 lbs regularly.

    + Willingness to learn and adapt to operating rhythms as part of a team process.

    + Comfortable working in warm environments, especially near furnaces.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Island, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
