Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician who approaches work with a Continuous Improvement mindset. The role involves engaging in identifying, valuing, prioritizing, resourcing, and sustaining improvements within the plant. You will update and monitor the preventative maintenance program and assist in troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate and oversee day-to-day preventative maintenance requirements.
+ Establish parts ordering requirements to ensure adequate spare parts are in stock.
+ Assist in troubleshooting plant equipment and perform necessary repairs.
+ Demonstrate basic ARC and TIG welding skills.
+ Use a Volt/Ohm meter proficiently.
+ Identify and describe components of the system.
+ Troubleshoot basic motor control circuits and perform continuity and megohmmeter tests.
+ Size and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
+ Identify inputs and outputs of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
+ Understand basic schematics and ladder logic.
+ Troubleshoot and repair analog control circuits.
+ Perform sanitary welding techniques and demonstrate proficiency in Blowmold operations.
+ Analyze and repair equipment heavily dependent on electrical controls and microprocessors.
+ Maintain a working understanding of plant production processes and equipment systems.
+ Operate equipment for diagnostic and break relief as needed.
+ Perform all work safely and professionally, reporting any safety deficiencies.
+ Order parts and materials as required for assigned tasks.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in all areas of dairy processing, filling, and packaging.
+ 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
+ 2+ years of experience in food/beverage manufacturing.
+ Troubleshooting and electrical skills.
+ Preventive maintenance and repair skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to bend pipe and conduit properly.
+ Knowledge of CIP system components and processes.
+ Understanding of motor and gearbox nameplate information.
+ Ability to cut and glue PVC pipe and identify pipe fittings.
+ Ability to cut and thread metal pipe and identify fittings.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Turlock, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
