Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and efficient Stocker to join our team in the Operation Room Coordinator (ORC) department. You will be responsible for receiving and managing medical supplies, ensuring they are organized and readily available in the hospital. This role requires strong inventory skills and the ability to handle physical tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

+ Receive medical supplies into the hospital and unload trucks as necessary.

+ Break down boxes and organize supplies efficiently.

+ Scan products for inventory purposes and manage hospital budgeting.

+ Stock items in the ORC department, maintaining a first in, first out system.

+ Pay careful attention to expiration dates and ensure proper inventory control.

+ Work independently and take initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in inventory management and control.

+ Basic math and counting skills.

+ Shipping and receiving experience.

+ Ability to walk long distances and perform physical tasks.

+ Customer service skills.

+ Experience with inventory scanning technology.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced and potentially stressful environment.

+ Physical ability to pull carts of supplies to operating rooms.

+ Willingness to walk 15,000 to 20,000 steps per shift.

Work Environment

Work within a climate-controlled hospital environment, primarily in and out of operating rooms. The position is fast-paced and may be somewhat stressful. The shift is from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Scrubs will be provided, and it is recommended to bring a pair of comfortable tennis shoes to leave at work to maintain cleanliness in the OR.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntersville, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
