    Job Title: 1st Assembly - KTG

    Job Description

    Join our team to assemble door handles and liftgate handles on a production line. You will be part of a dynamic environment where shifts vary by department and location. The work involves handling light plastic parts, although the workload will increase with quantity. Operators rotate through assembly cells composed of eight areas, ensuring variety in tasks while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble several small hardware pieces and plastic parts into fixtures, preparing them for machine assembly.

    + Perform packing, inspection, and labeling tasks in a repetitive environment.

    + Meet production targets by assembling a specified number of parts per hour.

    + Rotate every two hours between different stations, with occasional full-shift assignments at a single station.

    + Pack raw plastic parts into totes, sort and inspect them, and trim excess plastic from freshly molded parts.

    + Prepare parts for painting by packing and hanging them, inspect them post-painting for defects.

    Essential Skills

    + General labor experience in assembly and labeling.

    + Ability to stand for 10 hours straight.

    + GED or Diploma is required.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in manufacturing or production is preferred.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a clean and organized setting with a casual dress code. The facility is centrally located in Muskegon and is accessible via public transportation. Employees will be part of a Tier 1 automotive supplier, focusing on producing plastic door handles. Shifts include 1st (6:30am-3pm), 2nd (3pm-11:30pm), and 3rd (11pm-7am) with opportunities for overtime.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Muskegon, MI.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.25/hr.
