Job Title: Event Finance Business Partner
Job Description
This role involves budget development and financial planning, budget management and oversight, vendor management and contract oversight, accounts payable and invoice processing, reconciliation and reporting, strategic partnership and cross-functional collaboration, as well as process improvement and systems development.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and manage budgets for various projects and initiatives.
+ Oversee financial planning processes and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
+ Manage vendor relationships and oversee contract negotiations.
+ Process invoices and manage accounts payable.
+ Conduct financial reconciliation and prepare detailed financial reports.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to form strategic partnerships.
+ Drive process improvements and develop efficient financial systems.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with ERP systems, accounting practices, and NetSuite.
+ Proficiency in invoicing, budgeting, reconciliation, and managing grants.
+ Expertise in Microsoft Excel and events finance business partnering.
+ 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance, with exposure to financial planning and budgeting.
+ CPA, MBA, or CFA preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior experience in events, hospitality, media, entertainment, or project-based industries.
+ Experience managing complex budgets of 500k+ with multiple cost centers and revenue streams.
+ Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
+ Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
+ Experience with financial systems like NetSuite, QuickBooks, and SAP.
Work Environment
The position requires working 4 days in the office and 1 day from home, with potential travel to events in Washington DC for 3-5 trips per year. The role involves reporting to the Director of Finance and collaboration with the sales team.

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
