    The Progressive Care Unit RN, as a professional practitioner, assumes the responsibility and accountability for delivering patient care to telemetry/progressive care patients. The Progressive Care Unit RN demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. This individual employs critical thinking and performance ability in the coordinator of patient care, consistently performs according to nursing standards, and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care. The Progressive Care Unit RN is sometimes also called a step-down nurse, cardiac stepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown and in some medical centers, the PCU is also known as a transition or intermedia unit.

     

    Amergis is currently seeking experienced PCU RN’s for TRAVEL assignmentsin Farmington, NM!

    Position Details:

    Contract Length: 13 wks

     

    Number of Openings: 1

     

    Start Date: 1/12/26

     

    Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 7P - 7:30A

     

    Weekly GuaranteedHours: 36 per Week or 48 per week (3 -12’s or 4-12’s) depending on agreedcontract.

     

    • Weekend Hours: Varies – Two week Pay period that starts onevery other Monday and ends on Sunday shift.

    • Call Requirements: NONE

    • Required Certifications: BLS & ACLS (Must be from AmericanHeart Association)

    • Years of Experience: 1 year but prefer 2 years IMC or Cardiologyexperience

    • Float Requirements: Yes, Floating to any unit of need is expected.

    • AdditionalNotes: Normal floating will be to PCU, Medical, Surgical,Nephrology.
