CTG is seeking to fill a Server Test Engineer position for our client.

**Location:** Morrisville, NC

**Duration:** 12+ months, with possibility for extension

Duties:

+ Execute test plans on server platforms

+ Set up, deploy, and reconfigure servers and server hardware

+ Research and analyze new functions and features

+ Review test plans and test cases for accuracy and completeness

+ Identify, document, and track defects

+ Identify opportunities for automation and develop or request automation tools

+ Collaborate closely with development and validation teams to ensure high-quality system performance and customer satisfaction

Skills:

+ Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems (required); familiarity with RedHat, SUSE, Ubuntu, Windows, VMware, etc.

+ Knowledge of UEFI or systems management functions/protocols

+ Understanding of product validation, unit testing, and error injection

+ Solid knowledge of computer/server subsystems

+ Understanding of Intel, AMD, or ARM architectures

+ Ability to interpret technical documents such as system and protocol specifications

+ Familiarity with validation methodologies

+ Programming/scripting skills (Python preferred)

+ Understanding of automated tests and automation frameworks

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Excellent problem-solving abilities

Experience:

+ Experience in Linux, server systems, or system validation roles

+ Background in functional verification of subsystems such as storage, networking, memory, GPU, systems management, and UEFI

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
