CTG’s long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking a CAD Drafting Technician to support a multi-site manufacturing facility. This hands-on role works with Facilities Engineering to document existing and new facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.

**Job Title:** CAD Drafting Technician

**Location:** Fairport, NY

_Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Fairport, NY_

**Pay Rate:** Based on experience

**Work Hours:** M-F 8am-4:30pm

**Education:** Minimum HS Diploma; Associates/Bachelor’s in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred

Responsibilities:

+ Draft site plans, floor plans, equipment layouts, architectural, structural, and MEP plans using AutoCAD

+ Produce isometric drawings, schematics, and standard details for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and IT systems

+ Maintain and manage drawing files, revisions, templates, and X-refs

+ Convert redline/markup drawings into as-built documentation

+ Conduct site surveys to verify conditions

+ Support small projects and plant documentation

Qualifications:

+ 5+ years drafting experience; architectural, engineering, or construction background preferred

+ Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

+ Knowledge of architectural standards, MEP drafting, GD&T, and construction processes

+ Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills

+ Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines

Desired Skills:

+ Revit, AutoCAD 3D, BIM management, SolidWorks/Creo 3D modeling

+ Adobe and Bluebeam experience

+ Project planning and small construction project support

Education:

+ Minimum HS Diploma; Associates or Bachelor’s in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
