    Job Description

    To ensure proper training and supervision of all Engineering personnel and to provide consistent, cost-effective maintenance programs that ensure the Hotels safe and efficient operation.

    Responsibilities

    + Must be able to coordinate and operate, in an economical, legal and safe manner, all Heat, Light, Power (H,L,P) and Rooms & Maintenance (R&M) for the hotel.

    + Must be able to provide direct supervision of engineering staff to ensure completion of assigned tasks and duties.

    + Must be able to plan tasks, assign duties, and follow up with team to ensure execution and review performance effectively.

    + Must be able to inspect physical plant and equipment as well as monitor maintenance and preventative maintenance programs throughout the resort.

    + Must be able to coordinate with other departments all work necessary to maintain operating conditions with regard to safety and health standards set forth by Omni Hotels and Resorts and legal requirements.

    + Will be responsible for interviewing, hiring, counseling, training, and documenting performance for engineering associates.

    + Must be able to recommend to management possible projects for future capital budgets. Will be responsible for obtaining bids, providing supervision and coordinating contractors in performance of project work.

    + Will be responsible for the creation of schedules, staffing and payroll control.

    + Must complete any other assignments or duties assigned.

    + Will be responsible for attending all relevant meeting.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    + Minimum of five years experience in a management role within the engineering field.

    + Previouse Engineering Leadership in a Four Diamond or Convention Resort preferred.

    + Must be able to create and manipulate spreadsheets and word documents.

    + Knowledge and use of personal protective equipment.

    + Able to read blueprints and schematics.

    + Must have great communication skills.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying of weights up to 50 pounds and occasionally greater, for all resort equipment and machinery.

    + Frequent bending and/or kneeling throughout day for repairs and maintenance of resort property, equipment an machinery.

    + Use of ladders and lifts required.

    + Continuous standing required in varying degrees throughout the day.

    + Limited driving on an occasional basis for supplies, equipment, etc. Generally within 20 miles .

    Working Environment:

    + Mobility throughout the resort required on all floors, varying heights and distances.

    + All areas of the resort (indoors and outdoors).

    + Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.

    + Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.

    + Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.

    Tools & Equipment:

    + Any and all tools associated with the Engineering Department. To include but not limited to table saw, drill press, chop saw, hydraulic press, grinders and sanders, pallet jacks as well as fork lift. Boom lift and scissor lift, pressure washers.
