    Apartment Turnover Assistant

     

    The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the apartment prep process, in performing various general work order requests for Independent Living, The Cottages, and other general areas of the campus. Seeking a knowledgeable, dependable, and caring customer-focused individual that has a minimum of 3-5 years of experience of demonstrated general carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical skills. Must be able to demonstrate proper processes and methods of maintenance. Must have common knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must have a general working knowledge of basic computer skills.

    Responsibilities/Performance Outcomes:

    + Assists and works directly with the Project Manager, and Director of Facilities in the preparation/renovation projects to make sure they are being performed according to specifications and expectations.

    + Assists with the demolition of apartment & cottage turnovers to prepare for renovations.

    + Assists in installations of appliances, basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and finishing work throughout the apartment renovation

    + Prep walls & paint all apartments and cottages as workflow allows.

    + Maintains proper care of all equipment and keeps all work and storage areas in a neat and organized fashion as it pertains to this area of responsibility

    + Assists the entire maintenance team in all aspects of maintaining campus safety. I.e. shoveling sidewalks during winter months snow removal process, as necessary.

    + Acts as a member of the Health Call Response team assisting in all emergency health calls and meeting ambulances for proper arrival on campus.

    + Assists in other areas and general maintenance projects as assigned.

    + Maintains proper care of all equipment and keeps all work and storage areas in a neat and organized fashion as it pertains to this area of responsibility.

     

    Flexible with scheduled shifts. Full-time, 40 hours a week. Typical hours are Monday- Friday, 7:30 am/8 am to 4:30 pm with a 6-8 week Saturday rotation, allowing the following Monday off.

     

    Min. $18.00hr-Max.$27.00hr. Experienced base pay.
