    Hours: Day shift hours, 4 x 10 - hour shifts

    General Summary

    Oversees the daily operations of the System Home Sleep Study Program. Performs a variety of tests and studies related to the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related breathing disorder and interacts professionally with physician's vendors, and other healthcare providers. Travel and flexibility in work schedule required. Must be able to drive to multiple site locations to oversee various department operations.

    Essential Functions:

    + Works in collaboration with the sleep leadership to oversee expansion of and provide marketing support for the Home Sleep Study Program.

    + Standardizes processes, structures, and systems across the service line. In collaboration with the Regional Managers creates tools to simplify the and standardize home sleep study processes and meet identified goals and objectives.

    + Monitors and tracks the home sleep apnea test (HSAT) volumes. Actively works to retrieve overdue home sleep study devices by providing patient follow-up via phones and/or portal messages, mailing letters to patients, and initiating billing for unreturned or unused equipment as appropriate.

    + Assists in the implementation of education and training for new sleep equipment or new sleep programs/initiatives.

    + Collaborates closely with the Leadership, Medical Director(s), Regional Manager, Team Leader, and Clinical Coordinator to design and implement efficient, effective, and value-driven processes, structures, and systems specifically related to the Home Sleep Testing program.

    + Schedules, performs and evaluates the technical validity of overnight sleep studies, nocturnal pulse oximetry, and other related studies.

    + Sets up and applies polysomnographic monitoring devices, ensuring patient safety and accurate test results.

    + Provides summary analysis/reports of all polysomnographic studies for physician review.

    + Instructs patient in the home use of therapeutic devices.

    + Assesses and monitors programs' adherence and compliance with standards of care.

    + Adheres to guidelines for human relations in dealing with staff, patients, visitors, and physicians.

    + Ensures and documents that Age Specific, HIPPA and Patient Rights needs are being met as described in departmental policies and procedures.

    + Meet all industry registry requirements mandated for the Sleep Technologist.

    + Maintains Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) registration and attends mandatory in-services.

    + Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment. Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s).

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education:

    + High School Diploma or GED Required

    + Bachelors Degree Preferred

    Work Experience:

    + 5 years In health-related field. Required

    Licenses:

    + Registered Polysomnographic Technologist Upon Hire Required and

    + Heartsaver CPR/AED Upon Hire Required

    Courses and Training:

    + Documentation of RPSGT credential with required CEU's every 5 years. Upon Hire Required

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Self-starter, able to work independently to achieve established goals with minimum supervision.

    + Adaptability to expanded territory or region based on system growth opportunities.
