    Location Description

    Michael Foods, Inc. located in Klingerstown, Pennyslvania known for their ice cream socials at Klingerstown Lutheran Parish, fishing rodeo, and fireman's parade.

    Responsibilities

    - Responsbile for the cleaning, sanitation and general upkeep of the lunchrooms, bathrooms, locker rooms, office and surrounding areas.

     

    - Responsbile for trash removal.

     

    - Operation of the sanitation equipment (i,e. floor scrubbers).

     

    - Assiting in other areas as needed.

     

    - Expected to adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that all product quality is maintained in order to maintain SQF Level 3 certification. Repont to manangement any conditions that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.

     

    - Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communication in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.

     

    - Accountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.

     

    - Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to manangement any conditions or practices that may advsersely affect food safety and quality.

     

    - Ensures regulatory compliance at all times.

     

    - Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    - No prior experience of training.

     

    - Ability to read a limited number of two and three-syllablee words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

     

    - Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's, and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

     

    - Abillity to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form. Ability to deal with probems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

    - Thorough knowledge of GMP's and Sanitation Procedures.

     

    - Basic mechanical skills.

     

    - Thorough knowledge of checmial safety.

     

    - Strong attention to detail.
