    Job Title: Polisher and Buffer

    Job Description

    As a Polisher and Buffer, you will begin by using a hand grinder to smooth out rough edges and polish metal to a pristine finish. You will also cross-train in basic fabrication, where you will cut metal to length using a tape measure, and work with brake presses, spot welding, buffing, and racking for paint. Additionally, you will assist in other departments such as assembly, packaging, and paint as needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate a hand grinder to smooth and polish metal surfaces.

    + Cross-train in basic fabrication, including metal cutting, brake pressing, and spot welding.

    + Assist in various departments, such as assembly, packaging, and paint.

    + Ensure quality and precision in all tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical aptitude through work experience, education, or hobbies.

    + Experience with sheet metal and grinding.

    + Proficient measurement skills with a tape measure and basic math understanding.

    + Experience working with hand and power tools, welding, fabrication, and sheet metal.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 6 months of manufacturing experience.

    + Experience reading a tape measure.

    + Experience with hand and power tools.

    + Experience in shop classes such as welding, automotive, woodworking, or machine/tool.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in a large manufacturing facility that operates at a fast pace and can be physically demanding. The environment is not temperature-controlled, which means it can get hot during the summer months. It is a smoke-free campus, and employees are expected to be self-motivated.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Anoka, MN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.84 - $22.09/hr.
