    Job Title: Derivatives Sr. Business Analyst

    Job Description

    The Derivatives Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with various business areas to ensure that the derivatives system provides the required capabilities. The candidate will define and execute a vision for system fixes and improvements while prioritizing tasks for different business units.

    Responsibilities

    + Collaborate with in-house technology teams using Agile methodology to deliver new or enhanced system capabilities.

    + Analyze and document requirements, business process flows, and data flows.

    + Maintain the system backlog and prioritize system development and feature backlog with detailed specifications.

    + Mitigate roadblocks to achieve sprint/release goals.

    + Coordinate between business and IT for system maintenance and support efforts.

    + Monitor system performance and operations for continuous improvement.

    + Coordinate with business areas to execute system-related business processes such as portfolio onboarding, administration, and data management.

    + Build subject-matter expertise in derivatives and all pre and post-execution processes and systems related to derivatives.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong knowledge of derivatives.

    + Proficiency in Agile methodology.

    + Experience in business process and data flow analysis.

    + System integration experience.

    + Stakeholder management skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher

    + 2+ years of experience in Risk, IT, Trading, Derivatives, or related areas.

    + Strong knowledge of systems, data, and business process integrations between corporate functions in investments, risk, finance, or actuarial.

    + Experience with systems such as Finastra, Calypso, Murex, Neoxam, Golden Source, Markit EDM, ePAM, or similar.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The position requires working on-site for four days a week, with locations in West Des Moines, Iowa; New York, NY; Greenwich, CT; and El Segundo, CA.

    This is a Contract position based out of West Des Moines, IA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
