Job Responsibilities:
The Full-Time Day Shift Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for residents in a nursing home setting. They will work with a team of kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely and efficient manner. The cook will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety guidelines, and ensuring that meals meet dietary restrictions and preferences of residents. Cooking breakfast and lunch (50 bed-skilled nursing facility).
+ Start Date: ASAP 12/15/2025
+ $25/hr pay
+ Benefits package available
+ Length of Contract: 8-weeks – chance to extend
+ 5am – 1:30pm
+ 5x8 schedule
+ 40 hours/week
+ Every other weekend and Holiday
Qualifications:
+ Previous experience working in a nursing home or similar setting preferred
+ Proven experience as a cook, with knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques
+ Strong leadership skills and ability to work well in a team environment
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
+ High School Diploma (or equivalent)
+ Basic communication skills (full command of the English language)
+ Ability to perform manual labor (up to 25 lbs).
+ Able to stand for long periods of time and move around at a brisk pace.
+ Able to work in cold/hot environments.
+ Ability to perform line cooking.
+ One year cook experience preferred.
