    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within our client facilities.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist with or conduct daily operations and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

    + Supervise maintenance staff and assign, monitor maintenance activities and projects.

    + Perform preventive maintenance duties such as changing filters, lubricating motors, and replacing lamps.

    + Recommend improvements to the preventive maintenance program.

    + Develop and maintain building-specific maintenance procedures.

    + Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors and technicians.

    + Maintain stock and inventory control.

    + Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns.

    + Comply with all applicable codes and regulations, practicing safe work habits.

    + Ensure management is informed of building operations through monthly reports.

    + Complete all required Safety Training annually.

    + Comply with Uniform Dress Code and maintain a neat appearance.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

    + Graduate of apprentice program or trade school preferred.

    + 5+ years of related trade experience in a commercial property setting.

    + Appropriate license/permit for trade as required (e.g., Journeyman or Master Electrician License).

    + Valid 'Universal' level certification for CFC and HFC based refrigerants (EPA Section 608).

    + Valid driver's license and good driving record.

    + Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

    + Experience in operation, maintenance, and basic repair of HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, and refrigerant systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledgeable in energy management systems, techniques, and operations.

    + Thorough knowledge in all building systems operations, maintenance, and repair.

    + Ability to work extended periods without relief during priority/emergency situations.

    + Willingness to perform shift work and/or on-call duties.

    Work Environment

     

    This role operates in a professional office environment with routine use of standard office equipment. Regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions is required. The position demands physical activity, including lifting equipment and moving between departments and floors. It offers a unique opportunity to be a part of a growing company in its early stages, with training provided and responsibilities entrusted soon after.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $50.00/hr.
