    Under general direction and supervision and in accordance with prescription, operates x-ray therapy equipment in order to simulate and/or treat patients for malignancies and pain.

    Responsibilities:

    * Documents treatment procedures in patient’s charts and verifies accuracy.

    * Performs quality assurance checks daily on equipment.

    * Performs calculations when required.

    * Performs basic dosimetry calculation.

    * Bachelor’s degree in Radiation

     

    Therapy Technology or graduate of a CAHEA accredited school to Radiation

     

    Therapy or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    * Current registration or registry

     

    eligible with the ARRT.

     

    Must

     

    successfully complete registry examination in Radiation Therapy within one year

     

    of date of hire.

     

    * Operates all linear accelerators and simulators with minimal

     

    supervision.
