Job Title: MIG Welder
Job Description
This role involves performing MIG welds on 18 gauge mild steel and 1/2 inch mild steel. The successful candidate will fabricate and weld parts and assemblies for pavement maintenance equipment, safety railings, and other pavement machine components and assemblies. Majority of the time will be spent on Butt & fill welds, along with grinding and finishing of parts as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Perform MIG welding on mild steel.
+ Fabricate and weld parts and assemblies for pavement maintenance equipment.
+ Conduct Butt & fill welds and complete grinding and finishing on parts.
+ Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of MIG welding experience and/or technical degree.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints & weld symbols.
+ High School Diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5+ years of MIG welding on mild steel is a plus.
+ Experience with blueprint reading, tape measure, and sheet metal.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean and organized warehouse setting where Plymouth Industries fabricates and assembles equipment for the industrial roofing industry. The majority of materials used are mild steel, along with outsourced piece parts such as motors, pneumatic, and electronics.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
