    Job Title: Gluer Operator/ Die Cutter

    Job Description

    We are seeking skilled individuals to set up, change over, and troubleshoot machines in a manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in printing or graphic packaging and be adept at operating die cutters, flexo presses, gluer operators, and offset press machines. You will be responsible for producing packaging product boxes including beer boxes, food boxes, cracker boxes, gum cartons, pet food, and tobacco products.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate straight line folder gluer and other plant equipment necessary for food product packaging such as cracker boxes, beer containers, and French fry containers.

    + Perform die cutting with specific expertise in die cutter machines.

    + Operate flexo, roll cutter, gluer, rotary gravure, sheet-fed, and other machinery.

    + Troubleshoot and adjust machines to ensure optimal performance.

    Essential Skills

    + Glue or die cutting experience.

    + Experience in the packaging industry.

    + Ability to operate various machines including die cutters, flexo press, gluer operators, and offset press operation.

    + Experience with sheet-fed or roll-fed die cutters.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with large format printing machines like Heidelberg, Koenig & Bauer (KBA), and Komori.

    + Experience with narrow or large format flexo presses such as Uteco, KBA, and Tresu.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment can be very hot in summer and cold in winter, as it is not climate controlled. We are currently operating on 12-hour shifts with both day and night options available. Candidates can expect to work close to 60+ hours a week, including weekends, without rotating between shifts. Typical shift timings are from 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am or 7am-7pm.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Sandston, VA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $62400.00/yr.

     

    Booming with business and is considered essential. Recently won large contracts. They are in the process of adding new equipment and adding slitters, gluers and printers

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in Sandston,VA.
