Summary of the Role
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced **Functional Test Technician** to perform critical testing, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft electrical systems and components. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of advanced aerospace systems, directly impacting production quality and supporting the delivery of world-class aircraft. Your expertise will help the team overcome challenges, improve processes, and maintain high standards of compliance.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
+ Perform functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components.
+ Troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical systems, wire bundles, and avionics components.
+ Assess, document, and analyze test or analysis data to demonstrate compliance with engineering standards.
+ Identify production roadblocks and escalate issues that cannot be resolved by the team using clear, open communication.
+ Support teammates through cross-training and mentoring to improve overall team performance.
+ Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
+ Work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) as required.
Required Qualifications
+ 7+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing.
+ 7+ years of experience in electrical assembly and/or electronic materials.
+ 7+ years of experience in avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting.
+ 7+ years of experience using software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, or other specialized computer tools.
+ 7+ years of experience reading and interpreting detailed work instructions, blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English.
+ Ability to meet the physical demands of the role including bending, kneeling, overhead reaching, standing, twisting, climbing, crawling, and crouching.
+ Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
Preferred Qualifications
+ Strong experience with complex aircraft electrical systems testing and fault repair.
+ Proven ability to mentor or provide cross-training to teammates.
+ Demonstrated skill in problem-solving and improving team processes.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). **Pay Details:** $32.00 to $37.00 per hour
