    The Commercial HVAC Data and Analytics team under the Strategy and Transformation Organization is looking for a data analyst who can continue to drive maturity and advancement by turning data into insights. This is an excellent growth opportunity for someone who is extremely analytical and thrives on the challenges inherent in dissecting complex business problems.

     

    The ideal candidate will need to manage concurrent projects and priorities while applying strong problem-solving and project management skills. Strong data manipulation, visualization, and inference skills are critical for success. This position will report directly to the Data and Analytics Leader and will support the data and analytics needs of our Field Sales and Vertical Market teams within the Trane Commercial HVAC business.

    **Flexible Location Day:** On Fridays enjoy the flexibility to work from a location that best suits your productivity and personal needs.

    **Available Work Locations** – Davidson, NC - Lacrosse, WI - Tyler, TX - White Bear Lake, MN

    Responsibilities:

    + Support development and deployment of best-in-class analytics solutions to enable simplified self-service capabilities by sales and functional leadership.

    + Understand business priorities and stakeholder requirements to determine the best solution to meet their needs

    + Create, improve, and maintain Tableau dashboards using leading and lagging indicators from Financial and Operations metrics

    + Share solutions and critical thinking techniques within organization to enhance knowledge and ability across Enterprise

    + Develop data structures required to combine multiple data sets to allow for multi-faceted data exploration and performance dashboards.

    + Manage deployment of analytics solutions through standard work development, training sessions, and ongoing support for business teams.

    + Operate in an agile fashion to deliver regular “demos” to the customer

    + Drive and document analytics standards and best practices

    + Develop and present complex, customized presentations of findings to senior leadership and field offices.

    Qualifications:

    + Undergraduate Degree in business or related field (Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology / Statistics / Finance / Economics / etc.), or equivalent experience

    + Demonstrated ability to evaluate solutions from the customer’s viewpoint

    + 2-4 years of experience developing Analytics Solutions

    + Experience building visualizations using Tableau or Power BI

    + Proficiency with data transformation with tools such as Alteryx or Dataiku highly desired or willingness to learn

    + Experience leveraging cloud infrastructure including writing SQL queries

    Key Competencies:

    + Strong analytic, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.

    + Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that research and analysis objectives are met and that they align with implementation action plans

    + Ability to wrangle and mine data to provide customer insights

    + Ability to create meaningful and easily interpretable data visualizations

    + Demonstrated ability to apply the right tool to the problem at hand, with consideration given to future enhancements and alternative audiences

    + Willingness to learn new tools and techniques to grow into Advanced Analytics space

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

     

    Compensation:  

     

    Base Pay Range: $72,700 - $96,300

     

    Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan. **_Disclaimer:_** This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, and geographic location where the work is performed.
