Job Summary
PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 Staff Intern for the Corporate Planning & Analysis.
This job involves working as a(n) staff Intern and will work closely with the Performance Analysis & Reporting team to support the Enterprise and PSE&G scorecard process utilizing various key performance indicators (KPI’s). This role provides hands-on experience in KPI tracking, data validation, metric reporting, and analytical insight generation that directly contributes to the organization’s performance management objectives. This internship offers the opportunity to apply academic learnings while gaining practical experience with the company’s various scorecards, KPI development and tracking, and exposure to industry-leading business technologies. The intern will learn how KPIs are used to drive business performance and decision-making while developing analytical, communication, and teamwork skills essential for success in a professional environment. This internship is ideal for students seeking to expand their understanding of performance management in a dynamic corporate environment. You’ll be part of a team that values curiosity, precision, and continuous improvement.
This position will be Hybrid Flexible. There is an expectation to be in office 8 times a month with Tuesday being a mandatory anchor day.
Job Responsibilities
Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:
+ Assist in the preparation, validation, and timely completion of company scorecards and KPI reports to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
+ Support scorecard and KPI reporting by gathering, reviewing, and analyzing performance data from multiple systems and business areas.
+ Participate in specialized analytical projects, including measurement analysis, KPI performance trending, metric forecasting, and the development of scorecard analytics within Power BI.
+ Contribute to the enhancement of data visualization tools and performance dashboards to improve business insights and reporting efficiency.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers, performance measures, and how KPIs align with strategic and operational goals.
+ Apply academic knowledge to real-world business processes while gaining exposure to corporate performance management systems, KPI frameworks, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Job Specific Qualifications
+ The successful incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Economics, or related discipline and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029.
+ Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026.
+ PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
+ Incumbents must have completed freshman level course work for consideration.
+ Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.
Desired:
• 3.0 GPA
• Experienced with MS Office Products – Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with using data visualization tools – Power BI or Tableau
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be detail oriented and able to work independently
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and promote team effectiveness by soliciting input from team members and communicating expectations
All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Incumbents are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
