    Job Description

    This position specifically supports the **Money Movement platform** , so familiarity with **ACH, RTP, Wires, and how these payment systems operate on the back end** is essential. The ideal candidate will understand the nuances of these transaction types and how they integrate with banking systems and data flows.

     

    Acquires data from multiple sources in order to perform analysis and engineering tasks. Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data to provide answers to business questions and actionable recommendations. Interprets data and analyzes results using various statistical techniques and tools, while maintaining **robust documentation and repeatable processes** for all workflows. Presents data and analysis in a clear and concise manner, enabling stakeholders to quickly understand results and make data-driven decisions. Collaborates with various partners to provide a holistic view of both analysis and engineering solutions. Measures and monitors results of applied recommendations and presents adjustments. Ensures all data acquisition, sharing, and recommendations comply with company standards.

     

    This individual will be the **‘go-to’ analytics and engineering expert** for several Platform Owners and will help them achieve their business goals through advanced data solutions and analytics insights. An example aspiration is having the most optimized digital sales application funnel in our industry. The team’s output will reach the C-suite at U.S. Bank, so **accuracy, attention to detail, presentation, and storytelling must be top-notch** . In addition to tight integration with the Platforms team, this person will also work to build strong and effective relationships across the Digital Analytics, Enterprise Analytics, Technology and Operations (TOS), and Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) teams.

     

    The candidate will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing multiple Platform stakeholders’ projects and working closely with their leadership to ensure they are continuously delivering high-value, impactful work that informs and drives their business forward. It is expected that this individual will ensure stakeholder business needs are being met while effectively managing competing priorities.

    Basic Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.

    + Six to eight years of data analytics and engineering experience, including data migration projects.

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    + Advanced proficiency in Python, PySpark, DBT, Airflow, and Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake).

    + Experience with Databricks and Snowflake (nice to have).

    + Familiarity with GitLab and Visual Studio for version control and development workflows.

    + Demonstrated success in data migration across multiple platforms.

    + Strong documentation and process development skills.

    + Exceptional attention to detail.

    + Experience with analytics/statistical software (SQL, R, Excel, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, Geo-spatial tools).

    + Experience in analytics, advanced analytics/statistics, predictive modeling.

    + Project management and effective communication skills.

     

    This role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

    The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
