The Role
The job objectives are to safely transport finished product and non-conforming product to multiple pre-determined locations in the plant. The primary way of transporting this material is using a sit-down forklift truck. The material is removed from equipment on a continuous production line after proper labelling and sorting has taken place. Visual and physical quality inspection of material will take place with data being input into Quality database systems. Equipment inspections are to be completed frequently to ensure that the production line continues flowing during the process.-
Pay Range: $25.29 - $34.21
_What’s the job?_
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
50%
+ Spends 50% of time operating a sit-down forklift moving wallboard into the select locations, moving pallets of raw materials, and equipment parts.
+ Maintains, monitors, and understands all equipment in the designated area.
+ Maintain manual data log sheets of finished product and product dry waste.
+ Equipment is operated by a Human Machine Interface (HMI) System
+ Coordinates with the Production Team on all product changeovers.
+ Manages and organizes finished product end tapes using a Forklift.
+ Completes Level 1 Quality Inspection Tests on finished product which requires the operator to be on and off the forklift.

+ Maintains supply of bundling equipment raw materials
+ Ensures accurate count of finished goods
+ Ensures finished length, end cut, and packaging requirements are met
+ Ensures hold tag procedures and finished goods inventory are correct
+ Ensures finished length, end cut, and packaging requirements are met by completing Quality Inspections.
+ Performs and understands all Dry End (Take-off Driver & Bundler) Quality testing procedures.
+ Inputs daily production data and samples into the Production Reporting / Quality database.
+ Performs and inputs Quality Assurance Test / Calibration Measurement reports into database.
+ Replenished end tapes and monitors end tape racks/storage

+ Establishes Housekeeping and 5S Standards.
+ Actively contributes to WCM (World Class Manufacturing) processes (Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing).
_What do you bring?_
Qualifications & Experience:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required
+ Minimum of one year production/manufacturing experience required
+ Minimum of one year experience in forklift operation required
Skills & Competencies:
_Required:_
+ Ability to work independently or in a team-based environment with little to no supervision
+ Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written
+ Basic computer skills
_Preferred:_
+ Familiarity with safety programs in a manufacturing facility
+ Familiar with any Lean Manufacturing practices
+ Familiar in Autonomous Maintenance practices (clean/inspect/lubricate)

**Shift Schedule** _(subject to change based on business needs)_
Monday - Wednesday/Thursday
12.5 hour rotating shifts (quarterly)
6:00AM - 6:30PM or 6:00PM to 6:30AM
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work established shift schedule, speak clearly so others understand, vision acuity to see details within a few feet of an observer, accepting of criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations, sensitivity to other’s needs, positive demeanor, and model change management for the business. Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment necessary to comply with government and company safety standards whenever engineered methods of reducing hazards or physical requirements cannot be reasonably accommodated. Job includes tasks that require walking, bending, twisting, gripping, stair and ladder climbing, entering confined spaces, navigating rough terrain and frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.-
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Our manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; wet and dusty conditions are present at times. Position requires a mixture of indoor and outdoor working environment with varying temperature conditions depending on the weather.
