In this position, employees will be responsible for the working in the rail loading operation which includes operating a forklift, handling inventory, working in & around rail cars, understanding the safe movement of rail cars in &; out of the loading area, and work in the rail yard.

**Salary:** $21.00 per hour

**Hours:** 2nd Shift - (3pm-11pm)

_What’s the job?_

Primary Functions:

+ Understand Pedestrian & Mobile Equipment safety in the work area

+ General housecleaning of the work area

+ Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner

+ Understand Plant & Distribution Safety Rules

+ Able to understand and apply all safety procedures

+ Understand and follow all SOPs related to the Distribution Take Off operations

+ Understand all Plant emergency situations & procedures

+ Complete Employee Safety Orientation & all safety training programs

+ Report all safety incidents to Team or Group Leaders

+ Proper use of necessary PPE required in the Plant work areas

+ Proper transport and stacking of board in a safe and productive manner

+ Ensuring risers are removed from all bays when empty

+ Operation of propane powered forklifts to load, unload, transport and stack materials

+ Completion of pre –shift / walk around inspections of forklifts

+ Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as cleaning, lubricating, fueling or replacing propane tanks

+ Proper placement of risers on board units in the warehouse

+ Complete rail car prep work & final load security, which includes working at heights

+ Complete inventory security in the bagging process

+ Trained to operate rail car tug, which includes work in the yard moving rail cars

+ Understand safety procedures on moving rail cars in & out of the loading area

+ Understand all safety procedures associated with rail loading operation

+ Ability to handle rail bags and secure rail bags during the bagging process

+ Complete as instructed all other job assignments that are issued by Distribution Team Leader

_What do you bring?_

+ Previous Industrial Powered Vehicle experience a plus

+ Warehouse and shipping experience a plus

+ Ability to handle (lift, push, pull) up to 50lbs

+ High school education or equivalent

+ Strong communication skills
