JOB SUMMARY
The Cash Applications Specialist is responsible for the daily end-to-end Cash Application cycle; to include monitoring of automation process, identification of errors/exceptions & manual posting of cash receipts as required. The Cash Applications Specialist will ensure daily cash balances tie-out to the General Ledger; will investigate & resolve any issues which are a barrier to reconciliation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Manage daily Cash-Application end to end process, from bank cash file, through High Radius automation, to exception handling & manual posting in ERP.
+ Collaborate with PIP IT & High Radius to identify & correct any issues which interrupt the process flow for Cash Application automation.
+ Download bank reports to review wires and ACH payments received, and post entries accordingly.
+ Investigate and resolve issues interfering with the proper application of cash receipts, including inadequate information on checks, etc.
+ Support the Credit Department with respect to any relevant issues relating to cash receipts, applications, and collections.
+ Work towards achieving all payment application targets.
+ Resolve relevant customer inquiries and issues, as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
+ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Time Management Skills, ability to work to strict periodic timelines.
+ Experience and proficiency with Automation applications & customer portals is desired.
+ Experience in finance ERP systems, Eclipse or another Epicor platform is desired.
+ Strong system skills (MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint
+ Excellent problem-solving skills.
+ Highly organized and professional.
