    GENERAL PURPOSE:

    Briefly summarize the overall purpose of the position. This is a short explanation of the job’s primary purpose and functions.

     

    The ICQA SR. Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of: 1) Business critical DC functions, 2) Research of key inventory issues, and 3) Training of ICQA Specialist I and II and other associates as needed. The associate will be required to communicate with key individuals spanning from DC associates to Supply Chain Executives across all business units. The ICQA SR. Specialist is expected to balance high volumes of inventory research issues within multiple internal Ross Systems (ex: RDM and RMS) and key functions critical to DC operations, including: Wave planning, Inventory Adjustments, and RTV processing. Problem resolution, support for higher complexity issues, process improvement, reporting, and working through special projects throughout the DC and at off-site facilities are key responsibilities of this role.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    List the core duties or tasks that are fundamental to the performance of the job.

     

    + Manages day-to-day inventory update requests in the DC, from the Inventory Control inbox and communicates the needed information to ICQA/DC management or other business units.

    + Maintain timely processing of all stock orders by ensuring waves are completed within prescribed guidelines.

    + Ensure that merchandise is processed through the warehouse in a timely manner utilizing all computer systems to problem solve; following up on reporting and other tools to check for aging and other inventory and quality issues.

    + Duties may include researching SKUs and purchase orders that have shrink, over receipts, open quantities, reviewing potential unit pick system changes and partnering with Operations to ensure correct outcomes are reached.

    + Ensure an excellent level of consistent internal and external customer service is provided.

    + Facilitate the processing of damaged merchandise, RTVs and charity freight with Business Solutions and Loss Prevention teams.

    + Assist in resolving problems as requested and communicate research and resolutions with Supervisors, Managers and Directors.

    + Monitor compliance of FIFO processing, prioritizing all special requests and inserting into the work schedule as necessary.

    + Conduct WMS/RMS/Database/3rd party application training curriculum as outlined by ICQA Manager for ICQA Specialist I and II associates.

    + Prepare for training sessions by organizing all necessary supplies and setting up practice purchase orders, merchandise, and situations.

    + Train processes and procedures through verbal instruction, demonstration, and trainee’s hands-on execution of required job skills.

    + Evaluate trainee’s ability to retain covered information through informal, frequent check for understanding during training session.

    + Complete training curriculum in specified time frame.

    + Use appropriate assessment tools to provide feedback regarding trainee’s progress and relay to ICQA Manager and DC Operations Management.

    + Assist in the development of additional training materials to ensure success of all Associates.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

    List Education level, Years of Experience, Technical Knowledge, and/or Certifications required for the position.

     

    + This position is not subject to strict seniority rule application (multiple criteria are used in the selection process)

    + 1 year minimum of distribution experience (Ross preferred)

    + Must successful complete UID Certification

    + Excellent math and computer skills. Experience with Outlook E-mail, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and RMS

    + Must pass MS Word I, Math (with calculator), Excel tests, and ICQA Assessment Test

    + Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills

    + Strong self-motivation and the ability to work aggressively to complete projects

    + Must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate with all levels of management and departments both within and outside the company

    + Ability to read, speak and understand written instructions in English

    + Previous RF gun/gladiator experience helpful

    + Ability to type at 50 wpm

    + Detailed knowledge of Distribution Center processes with some knowledge of DC reports

    + Detail oriented

    + Good attendance, positive attitude, and professional work demeanor

    + Strong self-motivation and the ability to work aggressively to complete projects

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

    Job requires ability to work in a warehouse environment, on a concrete floor all day. ?

     

    Requires continuous, standing, walking, hearing, pushing, and pulling.

     

    Consistent timeliness and regular attendance is necessary.?

     

    Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, talking, hearing (audio equipment), handling objects with hands and lifting to 50 lbs as needed throughout the shift.

     

    Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.

     

    Variance in work volume is seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present.

     

    **Pay Details:** $20.48 per hour
