    Job Title: Adult Clinician

    Job Description

    As an Adult Clinician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of individuals through effective case management and support. You will be responsible for adhering to infection control practices, making referrals for necessary medical or psychological interventions, and collecting urine specimens for drug screening. You will also be instrumental in orienting new patients to treatment programs and providing information about agency programs to potential customers.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure adherence to infection control practices.

    + Refer individuals to outside programs for medical and psychological interventions.

    + Collect urine specimens for drug screening.

    + Orient new patients to treatment programs.

    + Identify potential customers and provide them with information about agency programs.

    + Complete required paperwork, including customer records, in a timely manner while maintaining confidentiality.

    + Provide ongoing liaison, referral, and advocacy for participants with social service providers, emphasizing self-empowerment for participants.

    + Participate in team meetings, seminars, and trainings.

    + Engage with community providers to enhance program content.

    + Deliver presentations about programs to various agencies and referring agencies monthly.

    Essential Skills

    + Master's degree in social work or related field with a license (LADC, LMFT, LPC).

    + Three years of related clinical experience with homelessness, mental health, or substance use.

    + Proficiency in databases, MS Office, written reports, and maintenance of case notes.

    + Strong organizational, motivational, time management, and interpersonal skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

    + Specialized training in crisis intervention, substance use, mental illness, and/or domestic violence preferred.

    + Experience working with participants from diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds with effective communication skills.

    + Knowledge of human services, court systems, and substance use is essential.

    + Understanding of co-occurring disorders and social services in Hartford, with the ability to collaborate with other service providers.

    Work Environment

    The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The work environment emphasizes accountability and transparency, with a focus on fostering independence and skill-building. Staff training and feedback are provided to enhance programs and services, ensuring a holistic approach to case management.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hartford, CT.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
