    Job Title: Quality Specialist

    Job Description

    The Quality Specialist will serve as the system administrator for both the EQMS and ERP systems. This role involves receiving customer specifications, managing internal coordination between Sales and Quality Manufacturing teams to assess feasibility, and creating new items and specification numbers dedicated to the customer, along with supporting documentation.

    Responsibilities

    + Receive SOPs and/or specifications from customers and transfer them to the specification process.

    + Manage specification review meetings to ensure timely implementation.

    + Interface with customers to obtain specification approvals as needed.

    + Update QAD for initiation or changes to specifications, bills-of-materials, wind-ups, and blender sheets.

    + Participate in the customer complaint process as appropriate.

    + Facilitate the coordination of new formats for all manufacturing/quality documents.

    + Manage the electronic document management system (EQMS).

    + Identify basic quality issues related to document structure, format, or change control.

    + Review Vision System output data for final disposition.

    + Participate in internal audits as assigned.

    + Participate in customer audits.

    + Participate in annual cost roll-up activities in QAD for each active item number, coordinated by Finance.

    + Support the QC function as a backup for in-process inspection.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in quality management systems and ERP systems.

    + Knowledge of ISO standards.

    + Experience in quality document control, including SOPs, customer specifications, and data sheets.

    + Associate of Arts (AA) degree.

    + 3+ years of experience working with a QMS and ERP System.

    + 3+ years of experience within quality document control.

    + 3+ years of experience in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in an FDA-regulated or medical device manufacturing environment is preferred.

    + Previous internal audit experience is preferred.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Commerce, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
