Job Title: Foreman/Carpenter

Job Description

Aerotek is hiring immediately! We are seeking a skilled Foreman/carpenter to join our team at a large industrial facility in the Springfield, Massachusetts area. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, particularly in constructing, remodeling, retrofitting, and repairing structures made of wood, metal, drywall, plaster, concrete, or brick. This position involves site maintenance duties such as landscaping and snow removal, all under the supervision of a site supervisor. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits!

Responsibilities

+ Construct, remodel, retrofit, and repair interior and exterior structures made of wood, metal, drywall, plaster, concrete, or brick.

+ Perform site maintenance tasks including landscaping and snow removal.

+ Follow instructions and work under the supervision of the site supervisor.

Essential Skills

+ OSHA 10 certification

+ 3-4 years of construction experience

+ Reliable transportation

+ Possession of basic hand tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 1-2 years of carpentry experience

+ Willingness to learn and take direction

+ Ability to work up to a carpentry role

Work Environment

Work hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work depending on the project. Sunday work is compensated at double time. Overtime is required. The team consists of 3-4 employees, including a supervisor and two laborers. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, long pants, and long sleeves if working at a chemical plant. PPE such as hard hats and safety glasses will be provided. Candidates should bring basic hand tools including a tool pouch, utility knife, speed square, hammer, tape measure, and pencil.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicopee, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
