    Job Title: Manufacturing Carpenter

    Job Description

    We are currently seeking skilled manufacturing carpenters to join our team in a facility that builds and repairs modular trailers. The ideal candidate will have the ability to use hand tools, read a tape measure, and operate equipment efficiently. While prior experience in basic electrical work, carpentry, and plumbing is preferred, it is not mandatory.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform carpentry repairs and installations in modular trailers.

    + Utilize hand and power tools effectively for construction tasks.

    + Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure.

    + Perform finishing carpentry work, including roofing and painting.

    + Assist with basic electrical and plumbing tasks as needed.

    + Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace.

    + Operate a floor buffer and maintain equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in construction and carpentry.

    + Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

    + Capability to read and interpret tape measure readings.

    + Experience in finish carpentry and roofing.

    + Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    + Independence and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Must have own basic hand tools, including hammer, screwdrivers, and wrench set.

    + Basic computer knowledge is advantageous.

    + Experience in welding is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    This role involves working both indoors in the shop and outdoors in the yard, which can be subject to varying weather conditions. Work may also be conducted inside trailers that may lack air conditioning. Employees are expected to wear steel-toe boots, work pants, and a t-shirt, while the company provides safety glasses and gloves.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Midland, TX.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
