    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    Operate a machine to produce metal products to quality standards and customer specifications. Organize and stage product for timely shipment to the customer.

    Responsibilities

    + Set-up and operate production cell equipment, including spring winding machines,

    + Select robot/automated program options according to production requirements.

    + Monitor workflow through heat treatment, coating, and cooling processes.

    + Change over and ensure proper tooling is used according to specifications.

    + Set-up and operate torches, plasma cutters, and grinders.

    + Unload finished product onto pallets and/or carts, ensuring proper quantities are in bundles. Ensure production is properly identified with correct pallet identification.

    + Select printing templates on the stenciling machine.

    + Utilize bar codes on work orders for stencil print and processing according to quality and customer specifications.

    + Consistently achieve established key performance indicators.

    + Complete preventative maintenance, including testing, on machines and paint and conveyor systems to ensure proper operation, finish, and quality of the product.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical aptitude

    + Ability to measure and operate machines

    + Experience in loading, unloading, and general labor tasks

    + Mechanical assembly and inspection

    + Proficient with hand tools and pallet jacks

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Must have 6+ months of manufacturing experience/machine operation

    + Ability to read a tape measure

    + Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a big production facility with plenty of room to move. Enjoy a clean environment with a newly installed industrial AC unit for a temperature-controlled workspace. The first shift is from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of starting earlier or working 10-hour days based on production demands.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
