    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining both piston and turbine-powered propeller-driven aircraft. This role involves inspecting aircraft, troubleshooting issues, and executing necessary repairs. Additionally, the technician will be expected to train in and follow company safety programs.

    Responsibilities

    + Repair and maintain piston and turbine-powered propeller-driven aircraft.

    + Conduct inspections and troubleshoot aircraft ‘squawks’ to determine appropriate repairs for airframe, powerplant, and other mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.

    + Participate in training and understanding of company safety programs and execute them effectively.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in repair and troubleshooting.

    + General aviation maintenance experience.

    + Piston engine maintenance expertise.

    + A&P license holder.

    + 5+ years of experience in turboprop/fixed wing general aviation/piston engine airframe maintenance.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Cirrus, Piper, Cessna, Mooney, Beechcraft, Pilatus aircraft.

    + Ability to inspect and examine aircraft components for issues.

    + Skill in reading and utilizing blueprints and maintenance documents.

    + Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring/testing instruments.

    + Strong mechanical and mathematical ability.

    + Good organizational and problem-solving skills.

    + Effective verbal and written communication skills.

    + Teamwork experience in a diverse workforce.

    + Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.

    + Capability to work independently without regular supervision.

    + Ability to keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance procedures.

    + High school diploma with aviation-specific training (2-year associate degree preferred).

    + Experience with technical manual database software.

    + Possession of a minimum basic tool set/toolbox.

    Work Environment

     

    The position operates Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Candidates must reside within 30 minutes from the facility to ensure timely attendance.

    This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $40.00/hr.
