    Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

    Job Description

    We are seeking skilled Mechanical Assemblers for our three diverse assembly departments, with a total of six openings available. These positions are available across two shifts: the first shift operates from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and the second shift runs from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with a 15% shift differential. Successful candidates will work with brakes and clutches used in medical companies, farm equipment, and US government applications, such as surgical robots, gurneys, hospital beds, and MRI machines.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform assembly tasks in one of the three departments: Magnet Assembly, Gear Motor Assembly, or Medical Assembly.

    + Utilize hand and power tools to assemble mechanical components.

    + Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.

    + Work with small parts, requiring attention to detail and precision.

    + Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

    + Wear gloves during assembly to prevent oils and adhesives from contacting hands.

    Essential Skills

    + 1 year of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly experience.

    + Proficient in using hand tools such as calipers and micrometers.

    + Experience with power tools and mechanical assembly.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Mechanical inclination and aptitude.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in the industry is a plus.

    + Ability to work independently and remain on task.

    + Hobby auto mechanics or medical assemblers seeking a new career path.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is set in a climate-controlled, clean manufacturing environment focused on bench assembly of mechanical brakes, gear motors, and drives. As a leader in automation technology, the facility offers a low volume, high product mix environment where attention to detail is crucial. You will be assembling multiple products in a day and are expected to remain clean throughout your shift with the use of gloves during assembly.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, MN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $26.45/hr.
