    Join a groundbreaking opportunity to be part of a state-of-the-art, brand new greenfield facility. We are an industry leader in manufacturing performance-based packaging solutions. We are seeking a motivated Clamp Truck/Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced production environment. This role is pivotal to our day-to-day operations, emphasizing safety, quality, integrity, teamwork, customer satisfaction, ownership, and productivity.

    Responsibilities

    + Move rolls from various areas, including trucks and warehouses, to the corrugator for consumption.

    + Recognize and address or report any safety, quality, or production issues using provided tools.

    + Follow instructions and collaborate constructively to meet shipment deadlines and unloading guidelines.

    + Adhere to all safety procedures and proactively address unsafe practices observed in co-workers.

    + Maintain a high level of quality, productivity, and attention to detail.

    + Communicate with operators, superintendents, shipping department, and customer service to ensure accurate and damage-free loads.

    + Unload incoming loads promptly and place them in the correct locations.

    Essential Skills

    + Over 2 years of Roll Clamp Truck Forklift experience.

    + Ability to work overtime, typically 60 hours Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays.

    + Proficiency in reading a measuring tape and ruler, and using basic shop math.

    + Ability to learn and follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as part of a team.

    + High attention to detail and dexterity in controlling equipment and preventing damage.

    + Capability to lift up to 60 lbs. throughout the day.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in the corrugated or converting industry is preferred but not required.

    + Proven attendance record, validated through references.

    + Drive for results, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset.

    Work Environment

     

    Our facility is a brand new, state-of-the-art, 550,000 square foot space with cutting-edge technology worth over $30 million. Although not climate-controlled due to manufacturing processes, it is well ventilated. Safety gear such as steel-toed boots, safety vests, glasses, and ear protection are required. The facility is spacious and requires some walking. Currently operating on the first shift, we plan to introduce second and third shifts by the end of the year.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Elgin, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
