    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    Join our team at an anaerobic digestion facility located in St. Bernard, Ohio. This position offers a stable Monday through Friday schedule from 7 AM to 4 PM, with occasional Saturday hours from 8 AM to 12 PM. As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in the safe transportation and processing of various containers and hazardous waste materials.

    Responsibilities

    + Load and unload various size containers including totes, drums, tankers, and trailers.

    + Construct boxes or fiber containers, stack, label, and load them.

    + Utilize a variety of tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, and jackhammers.

    + Transport hazardous waste materials within the facility as directed.

    + Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and containers following RCRA and disposal guidelines.

    + Assist in completing paperwork for processing materials, including transportation logistics.

    + Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment.

    + Inspect material handling equipment as directed.

    + Assist in the loading/unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at designated sites using appropriate equipment.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in handling hazardous waste.

    + Proficiency in operating forklifts.

    + Skill in using hand tools and power tools.

    + Hazwoper certification.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED.

    + 3 to 6 months of prior work experience in the hazardous waste or chemical industry.

    + Forklift operating experience.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
