Ultimate Care is expanding its Office HR Department, and we are seeking a motivated Human Resources Associate to join our growing team. This role will be essential in strengthening our HR presence and supporting our ongoing efforts to unify and enhance HR services across our Brooklyn office locations. The HR Associate will provide broad generalist and administrative support to the department, partnering closely with the Head of Admin–HR and the HR Business Partner to help build and support an effective HR model. Travel to our additional Brooklyn offices may be required to ensure consistent and visible HR support.
Compensation: $36-$38 per hour base on level of experience and fit to role
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM
You will:
Administrative Support & Department Initiatives
+ Provide administrative assistance and coordination to support HR department initiatives, projects, and employee engagement efforts.
+ Manage core HR administrative tasks, including processing HR paperwork, updating employee databases, and assisting with benefits and payroll-related documentation.
+ Maintain accurate employee records in both SharePoint (digital files) and physical files.
+ Prepare and process HR documentation, including new hires, transfers, salary adjustments, merit actions, terminations, and data entry into payroll and HRIS systems.
+ Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve HR processes.
+ Manage and coordinate the department’s service anniversary program, ensuring timely acknowledgements and engagement.
+ Process employee-related paperwork for compensation, benefits, timekeeping, and employment changes.
Onboarding & New Hire Orientation
+ Assist with the full onboarding process, ensuring all new hire requirements, documentation, and compliance standards are met.
+ Track mandatory training and follow up to ensure timely completion by new employees.
Talent Acquisition Support
+ Provide backup support to the Talent Acquisition Partner/Recruiter, including posting roles, reviewing applications, coordinating interviews, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
You will have:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
HR Knowledge: Foundational understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and administrative procedures required.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an HR Administrator, HR Generalist, or similar HR support role.
Targeted Experience: Hands-on experience with HR compliance, corrective actions, employee relations, HR project coordination, and exposure to HR best practices is strongly preferred.
