Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager
• Overview:
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and execute highly complex sourcing projects that align with organizational goals and support business unit objectives. This position requires leveraging advanced sourcing techniques, analytics, and market intelligence to identify opportunities, optimize demand, and deliver cost-effective solutions. The role also focuses on continuous improvement, relationship building, and supporting strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Execute complex sourcing projects using project management and sourcing tools, including developing RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
+ Create comprehensive bid packages for RFx events, utilizing analytics to generate insights from vendor bids.
+ Lead cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, define scope, and negotiate contracts.
+ Develop and implement negotiation strategies; conduct direct supplier negotiations to maximize organizational value.
+ Manage communication of project updates to business stakeholders and support teams.
+ Execute supplier agreements, including NDAs and MSAs.
+ Build and maintain relationships with business leaders (typically at the Director level) and serve as an escalation point for contract and performance issues.
+ Develop and negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs) and improve existing SOWs based on KPIs and operational feedback.
+ Create supplier scorecards and baseline metrics for RFx events to support decision-making.
+ Present supplier analysis and award scenarios to stakeholders to influence strategic decisions.
+ Collaborate with finance and legal teams on project-level requirements.
+ Lead vendor workshops and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
+ 7+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, or similar roles with emphasis on sourcing, negotiations, and contracting.
+ 1+ year of cross-functional team leadership experience.
+ Proficiency with e-sourcing tools and processes.
+ Strong project management skills.
+ Experience in contracting and vendor management.
+ Proven negotiation skills.
+ Excellent PowerPoint and presentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related field (MBA, JD, MS, ME preferred).
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Mooresville, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.29 - $72.12/hr.
