    Special Education Teacher – Newhall School District

     

    The Newhall School District is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) to join our team for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting K–12 students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative, school-based environment.

    Position Details

    + Location: Newhall, CA

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, school hours

    + Pay: $45–$55/hour, based on experience (negotiable)

    + Credential Required: Mild/Moderate Education Specialist (California)

    Responsibilities

    + Deliver specialized instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities

    + Participate in planning and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)

    + Provide tutorial assistance and collaborate with general education staff

    + Support students across academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains

    + Maintain compliance with state and district standards

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Valid California teaching credential (Mild/Moderate Education Specialist required)

    + Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + Strong communication and collaboration skills

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
