    Special Education Teacher – Ojai, CA

    Pay Rate:

    + Local: $65/hr

    + Travel: $2,914 weekly gross

     

    Contract Length: 16 weeks

    Start Date: Mid-December or Early January

    Schedule: 37.5 hours/week | In-person only

    About the Role

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality services to students in an ESN SPED classroom (high need), grades K–6. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to plan and implement individualized programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation with general education staff.

    Classroom Details:

    + Case Load: 14 students

    + Setting: ESN SPED classroom

    Responsibilities

    + Deliver individualized and group instruction to meet student needs

    + Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

    + Implement IEP goals and monitor student progress

    + Maintain compliance with all state and district regulations

    Minimum Requirements

    + Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

    + Valid California ESN or M/S SPED certification

    + State Teacher Certification (Special Education)

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

    + CPR certification (if applicable)

    + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (schools experience required)

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
