    Job Description Summary

    Performs a wide variety of electronic, electromechanical, mechanical and support production assembly and functions of a semiskilled nature to build and assemble complex units. Determines and follows methods and sequence of operations in assembling cables, soldering, bonding, testing, trouble shooting and manufacturing of transducers. Have a vast knowledge of the various build processes within the department. Demonstrates advanced manufacturing skills and efficiently completes daily tasks according to the standard times without sacrificing the quality of the product. An Assembler should be a people person who can work well with a team and collaborate with people from other departments. General knowledge of the MRP system.

    Job Description

    Essential Responsibilities

    + Assemble components into medical devices in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures.

    + Assembly may involve miniature components under a microscope.

    + Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished product.

    + Utilize small hand tools calibrated instruments, measurement equipment microscopes and custom fixtures tools and assembly aids.

    + Work with engineers and technicians to resolve process issues and suggest improvements daily and on an ongoing basis.

    + Maintain accurate and timely records/documentation related to quality work in progress test results labor and special projects.

    + Strictly adhere to general safety rules manufacturing procedures company policies and procedures.

    + Good Manufacturing Practices and FDA regulations.

    + Train other assemblers on a wide range of tasks.

    + Perform solder touch-up or solder of parts as a secondary operation.

    + Reads and interprets complex engineering drawings and reworks parts to incorporate engineering changes.

    + Disassembles, modifies, reworks, refurbishes, reassembles, tests units and corrects malfunctions as required.

    + Assemble and install various electrical or electronic components where operation and sequence are specified by blueprints, diagrams, verbal instructions, or established operations practices.

    + Use a wide variety of specialized hand tools: solder irons, wire strippers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.

    + Handle small, delicate parts with a high degree of accuracy to perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly.

    + Follow method sheets to ensure documented and controlled processes are followed to assemble various electronic components.

    Work Environment and Physical Demands

    + General office/manufacturing environment.

    + Potential exposure to hazards associated with manufacturing equipment and tools.

    + Requires manual dexterity and ability to manipulate small objects.

    Required Qualifications

    + High School diploma or GED/equivalent required.

    + Minimum 3 years related experience.

    + Basic math skills required.

    + Must have good hand eye coordination while using a microscope.

    + Good manual dexterity.

    + Must be able to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods of time and complete tasks using a microscope.

    + Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions and have strong communication skills,

    + ⁠Strong communication skills. Ability to read, write and comprehend in local language (English).

    + Capability to use a computer and enter accurate data. Microsoft Office experience is a plus.

    + Being flexible to changing needs of the business and department and will work overtime as needed.

    + Organized, work independently with minimum supervision and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

    + Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.

    Desired Characteristics

    + Experience in operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment.

    + IPC/JSTD preferred. (Joint Industry Standard - global standard for soldered electrical and electronic assemblies)

    + Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.

    + Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.

    + Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
