About the role
Under direction of the Sr. Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Systems Manager is responsible to oversee the site’s Quality Management System and drive improvement against Company, Regulatory, and Industry Quality standards and best practices. This role acts as the primary point of contact for customer auditors and regulators and works cross-functionally to support compliance to expectations.
Key responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to
• Lead site’s audit program, including customer and external audits, including, but not limited to
- Ensuring internal audits are being completed at the required frequency.
- Complete internal audits as assigned.
- Logging of and trending of non-conformances to drive continuous improvement.
- Drive root cause investigations into findings to determine corrective and preventive actions.
• Owner of site’s Quality Management.
- Oversee site mock recalls and traceability exercises.
- Manage site Master Validation Plan.
• Develop, amend, and create site procedures or documentation, as necessary, to ensure compliance with company, regulatory, and customer expectations.
• Utilize Intelex to manage documentation updates and routine reviews as well as audit reporting.

- Halal/Kosher
- APHIS
- ISO 9001
- EXCiPACT
• Manage, support, and develop direct report Quality Specialist.
- Conduct regular 1-1 sessions to support, coach, and develop.
- Conduct annual development plan to support progression.
• Work closely with cross-functional groups to drive understanding of and improve compliance to expectations.
- Deliver quality-based training and refreshers to site teams.
• Provide site-based technical guidance and support of company, regulatory, and industry quality expectations.
- Support requests for site technical data from Customer Service and Regulatory teams, including through Salesforce.
• Participate in inter-departmental team projects as assigned.

Qualifications and skills
Education/Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or similar Science/Engineering.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of quality experience and/or training.
• Experience managing quality and food safety systems.
• Experience in a plant environment, excipient manufacturing preferred.
• EXCiPACT certification experience preferred
• ISO-9001 certification experience preferred
• cGMP – 21CFR210 and 21CFR211
• Experience in food, chemical, or pharmaceutical industry
The pay range for this position is $91,404 - $154,009 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
