Position Overview:
Assemble precious metal jewelry pieces by hand and/or machine for high-volume assembly to Tiffany & Co. production and quality standards per Level 1 specifications.
Key Accountabilities:
+ Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for your position and all safety procedures required at your worksite. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor.
+ Hand assembles sterling silver, platinum, and gold jewelry pieces as well as pearl assembly, bead stringing, pearl gluing, laser welding, and oven solder prep according to Tiffany & Co. quality and product standards.
+ Proficiency in the operation of all equipment in the area including Link-O-Matics, saw cutting, bending and pneumatic presses, tack welders, glue dispensers, handling and maintenance of soldering boards, solder paste applicators, EZ link machines, Sisma chain linking machines and use of deburring hand tools.
+ Verify the accuracy of counts on works orders, compliance to blueprints and BOM; report immediately to management any discrepancies
+ Accurately use barcode scanning into JDE to track efficiency
+ Proposes continuous improvement opportunities for all processes.
+ Perform first-piece and in-process inspection of products for assurance of continued compliance to quality standards for dimensional, aesthetic, form, fit, and function features as well as minimizing scrap and defective products.
+ Participates in 5S activities and ensures a clean and safe work environment is maintained. Build partnerships within and across departments to provide efficiency and create a supportive work environment.
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to read and write in English
Basic math and computer skills
Good communication skills, ability to communicate in English, ability to read and follow all established safety and manufacturing procedures
Interpersonal skills, ability to work and communicate with others in a constructive and professional manner.
Ability to adapt to change for the needs of the company, flexibility is important.
Ability to work in a high volume fast paced work atmosphere.
Ability to work overtime and weekend overtime as business needs arise.
High School diploma or equivalent
