Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Material Handler to join its organization.

Responsbilities:

+ Handle receiving, transporting, storing, and ensuring accurate inventory levels of materials within the warehouse.

+ Loads, unloads, and conveys materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site

+ Performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving.

+ Open containers using hand tools: counts, weighs and samples materials and uses computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and recording information.

+ Operate a forklift.

+ Follows department's material handling practices and procedures along with customer requirements in a safe and efficient manner.

+ Verify quantity, and conformance of materials to stated identifications and documentation.

+ Work with Oracle and other computer systems including both in-house programs and customer portals.

+ Work with a team and collaborate with other departments to meet production needs.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

+ High School Diploma with 2 years of experience

+ Proficient Forklift Operator

+ Strong communication skill

+ Must be able to work with a team

+ Availability to work overtime

+ Organizational skills

+ Ability to physically lift objects up to 35 pounds

+ A strong work ethic

+ Basic Math skills

+ Strong attention to detail

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Oracle or SAP experience

+ Microsoft Office experience

+ Manufacturing or Warehouse experience

+ Inventory control experience

+ Shipping and receiving material handler experience

+ Time management skills

+ Ability to work alone or as a team

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $37295 - $59672

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
