    Summary

    The Associate Clinical Director (ACD) reports jointly to the Senior Clinical Director, Department of Medicine and the Director of Fiscal Operations, TMHG. The ACD provides clinical and operational leadership for the Medical Genetics (TMHG) Division, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care across Medical Genetics, Lipid Disorders, Pharmacogenetics, and Genomic Medicine clinical programs. This role oversees multidisciplinary clinical teams, drives operational alignment, improves access, and supports program development, quality, and regulatory compliance.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Lead and support Genetic Counselors, APPs, RNs, and clinical administrative staff.

    + Optimize clinical operations across Medical Genetics, Lipid Disorders, Pharmacogenetics, and Genomic Medicine clinical programs.

    + Oversee triage workflows for specialty inquiries and specialty testing including genetic testing.

    + Improve patient access, scheduling workflows, and clinic template design.

    + Serve as operational liaison between clinical faculty and Division leadership.

    + Lead Epic workflow improvements, decision-tree updates, and documentation efficiency.

    + Partner with faculty to support program marketing, development and clinical growth.

    + Maintain and update division website clinical content.

    + Ensure compliance with regulatory and entity standards.

    + Lead quality and clinical performance improvement efforts.

    + Collaborate with Divisional and Departmental leadership, Physician Directors, and CPUP Clinical Leadership on staffing, finances, and workflow optimization.

    + Participate in Divisional and Departmental committees and initiatives.

     

    Education & Experience

    Required

    For RN candidates:

    + Bachelor’s Degree (BSN required)

    + 7+ years clinical experience, including 3–5 years in leadership/management

    For APP candidates (PA-C or CRNP):

    + Master’s Degree required (PA-C or CRNP program)

    + 7+ years clinical experience, including 3–5 years in leadership/management

    For GC candidates:

    + Master’s Degree from an ACGC-accredited Genetic Counseling program

    + 7+ years relevant experience, including program or people leadership

     

    Licenses, Registrations, & Certifications

    Required (one of the following):

    + **Active PA RN license**

    + **Active PA PA-C or CRNP license**

    + **Certified Genetic Counselor (ABGC)** with eligibility for PA GC licensure

    Required for All Candidates

    + **BLS/CPR** (American Heart Association)
