This position exists to assist the District Commander in fulfilling his administrative and operational responsibilities.
This position acts as Office Manager/Lead Worker of other office personnel (3) and delegates work assignments as necessary in order to provide State Patrol personnel with statistical data, records, and reports and is responsible for the operation of the district office during supervisors' absences. Arranges for administrative and clerical support for all district personnel by delegating work assignments as necessary.
This position has responsibility for all aspects of the district payroll self-time entry program and the SEMA4 payroll program. Acts as liaison to Human Resources personnel and district personnel in all areas of payroll related issues.
This position is responsible for all district purchasing.
As District Coordinator for State Patrol's technology, arrange or direct PC upgrades and training for office personnel, provide district personnel with technical support, identify and suggest PC training needs to the District Commander.

Minimum Qualifications
+ Knowledge of math sufficient to maintain complete and accurate financial records and balance and resolve discrepancies in areas like determining eligibility, level of benefits and/or payroll
+ Skill in accounts receivable and computerized billing systems sufficient to enter and access information, and identify and correct errors
+ Ability to read source documents and enter data in specific databases or tracking systems; Accurately input, verify, and edit electronic data
+ Ability to prepare, edit, and finalize emails, memos, reports, and/or other documents and types of written communication that are grammatically correct, in proper format, and free of spelling errors
+ Ability to oversee, lead, train, and evaluate the work activities of employees in their work area
+ Ability to explain laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures to clients, coworkers, and customers
Preferred Qualifications
+ Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities
+ Experience with data privacy rules, policies and procedures in order to comply with DPS, MSP and BCA rules and regulations, as well as federal and state laws regarding confidentiality of data
+ Experience with SWIFT Procurement System & SEMA4 relating to payroll completion
+ Experience with asset management, working with vendors and bids for purchasing and invoicing inventories
+ Legal and/or technical terminology related to forfeitures and court proceedings.
+ Skill in word processing (Microsoft Word) spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel), and email (Microsoft Outlook) and entering data into legal databases.
+ Skills sufficient to train, support, and oversee administrative staff.
Physical Requirements
Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file boxes and heavy hand tools or heavier materials with help from others, and moving and transporting light objects frequently. Even though the weights being moved and transported may be a negligible amount, a job in this category may require position self to move to a significant degree or may involve maintaining a stationary position for extended periods.
