Senior Business Analyst - Audit and Governance

Join our team as Senior Business Analyst and play a critical role in safeguarding financial integrity and driving compliance excellence. In this role, you will lead strategic initiatives that strengthen controls, enhance governance, and ensure accurate, reliable financial data. Your expertise will help us deliver on our mission with confidence and precision.

Responsibilities:

+ Ensure SOX compliance by maintaining and improving financial controls.

+ Lead intake, review, and delivery of audit requests, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with financial statements.

+ Collaborate with control owners to document, investigate, and resolve anomalies, driving continuous improvement.

+ Manage FAH (Accounting String Mapping Hub) governance processes, including intake, requirements submission, and communication with cross-functional teams.

+ Develop new processes to strengthen governance and compliance frameworks.

+ Respond to financial audits with clear, accurate data and insights.

+ Use SQL and data retrieval tools to provide detailed information to auditors.

+ Support compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including NAIC and Medical Loss Ratio filings.

Qualifications

Required:

+ Proficiency in SAS or similar data extraction tools.

+ Ability to read and write SQL.

+ Experience working with large, complex data sets.

+ Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams.

+ Understanding of basic accounting principles.

+ 5+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.

+ Experience supporting SOX compliance or financial audits.

+ Proven track record of process improvement in financial or data governance environments.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
