Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Compliance Director, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to compliance initiatives within the SSC and overseeing the Chargemaster and related functions. You will serve as the Ethics and Compliance Officer, as well as the Facility Privacy Official. You will implement and monitor regulatory compliance programs for all SSC departments, coordinate issue resolution, handle ethics line cases and reportable issues, company policy distribution, and oversee compliance education requirements. You will perform due diligence on compliance-related issues and determine corrective action, including educational opportunities, policy changes and process improvement, and communicate these activities to SSC leadership. You will monitor performance to identify best practices and work with the SSC departments as well as facilities to implement these across the SSC operations. You will also participate in compliance audits and address any identified issues. You will work with HR and Legal to resolve compliance issues timely. You must demonstrate strong commitment to stakeholder relationships by taking ownership of issues and facilitating effective outcomes in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for working alongside the SSC senior leaders in developing the future strategy and prioritization of compliance initiatives.

What you will do in this role:

+ Assess compliance risk and use results analytically to develop action plans.

+ Implement action plans and monitor outcomes.

+ Use problem solving skills to address daily compliance issues.

+ Monitor internal systems to ensure regulatory compliance.

+ Chair the Ethics and Compliance committee for the SSC.

+ Review, interpret, and communicate relevant company policy updates.

+ Keep SSC leadership informed of the status of Ethics and Compliance issues within the SSC.

+ Review internal and external audit reports and investigations relating to the SSC and ensure that appropriate corrective and preventative actions have been taken. Attend all audit exit conferences related to SSC Compliance.

+ Assure that colleagues understand that they may raise concerns or report suspected violations of the Code of Conduct, Policies and Procedures, or of law or regulations to a supervisor, to any member of local management, to the ECO, or to the Corporate Ethics Line without fear of retaliation.

+ Conduct investigations resulting from calls to the corporate E&C line or assist hospital ECOs in conducting these investigations.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required. Degree requirement may be substituted by current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program or equivalent work experience with CEO approval.

+ Minimum 5 years of healthcare management experience with three of these years in the related area for the position. Relevant education may substitute experience requirement with SSC Executive approval.
