Introduction

This Work from Home position requires that you live and will perform the duties of the position; within 60 miles of an HCA Healthcare Hospital (Our hospitals are located in the following states: FL, GA, ID, KS, KY, MO, NV, NH, NC, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA).

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Supervisor Telephone Triage Nurse is responsible for ​providing day-to-day leadership for the NCCM Clinical team. In this role, the Supervisor Telephone Triage Nurse will perform all RN/LPN tele-triage functions. Additional duties include providing leadership to an assigned group of RNs/LPNs across the enterprise. You will function as an immediately available clinical resource on assigned shift​.

In this role you will:

+ Utilize clinical expertise and approved protocols to provide health advice to consumers with clinical questions and make referrals for health services as appropriate via telephone.

+ Ensure performance standards are met. Manages staff performance by providing immediate feedback, routine 1:1 coaching sessions and corrective action as necessary. Conducts routinely scheduled team meetings. Performs annual performance reviews.

+ Function as an immediately available resource for all staff questions and concerns.

+ Perform call reviews to assure staff competency, adherence to SOPs and processes.

+ Communicate appropriately and clearly with departmental management, co-workers and callers and exhibits willingness to master new work routines and methods.

+ Consistently monitor call queues to assure KPIs are met and provides assistance as needed.

+ Participate in all aspects of the hiring process, onboarding, mentoring, competency assessment and ongoing education.

+ Monitor staff licensure and assist in new license application as necessary.

+ Maintain and contribute to a professional and ethical work environment and actively participate in team meetings.

+ Seek staff input related to work processes, workflows, technology needs, and patient trends.

+ Assure new programs are implemented effectively.

+ Recognize and reward staff for superior performance. Celebrate team successes.

+ Serve as the escalation point should a nurse need immediate assistance with a patient consumer.

+ Schedule staff to match call volume trends. Make schedule adjustments daily.

+ Perform payroll edits and approvals for assigned staff. Answers regarding staff questions related to payroll or pay practice

Qualifications:

+ Completion of an Associate Degree or an equivalent in demonstrated work experience.

+ 3 years of tele-triage experience preferred

+ 2 years of nursing leadership experience preferred

+ Active RN enhanced compact license and ability to obtain licensure in all states in which the contact center serves HCA Hospitals.
