Job Summary and Responsibilities

+ Assessment and Care of the Patient:
+ Performs complete physical assessment on all patients, using knowledge based on growth/development and age, including thorough history and documents in EMR.
+ Adult - Assesses response to treatment/interventions by verbal response and physical changes and documents in EMR.
+ Geriatric - Recognizes changes in physical condition and documents in EMR, assesses cognitive and physical limitations (dementia, hard of hearing, immobility) to determine appropriate intervention, Incorporates knowledge of chronic conditions with current medical status and age.
+ Demonstrates the ability to accurately assess and document patient status in accordance with unit standards.
+ Documents lab results in EMR as acquired.
Job Requirements
Required Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Required Licensure and Certifications
Currently licensed in Tennessee or Georgia (based on location) or eligible for licensure BCLS required within probationary period.
RN
OCN certified within 6 months if employee has current oncology experience meeting ONCC practice guidelines for certification testing.
If no previous oncology experience, employee must take OCN exam within 15 months of employment (if practice hours requirement met) and must be certified within 18 months.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Use of general patient care equipment and communication equipment. ARIA computer system, Meditech, FAX and copier. Lab sticks, IV starts and medication administration.

Pay Range
$30.00 - $43.05 /hour
